Fort Flagler Crab
« on: August 21, 2020, 06:37:13 PM »
Taking the kids to Fort Flagler SP tomorrow. Thinking about crabbing. Is it worth throwing the pots in the truck without a boat? Any success to be had crabbing from shore?

As a kid we camped their for many years, mid to late 70's early 80's. Great camping sites either upper campground but the best was in the lower sites near the beach. We use to moor out boat at the dock and they had a small snack stand with ice cream etc so that was cool when us kids would take our bikes down their while the adults drank Rainier beer and got the fire burning.  Crabbing was awesome inside the spit and on low tide I remember my dad and uncles pulling in lot's of dungies with their bamboo poles with chicken wire net to get those guys in 3-4 feet of water. They would wade and pick em off. Great memes.
